Welcome to The Natural Phenomena!

The Natural Phenomena is the first and only "Nature Education" Early Childhood  Conference in NZ. 

It is the collective vision of a group of  NZ Early Childhood Educators & parents passionate for Nature Education to become an essential ingredient for all young childrens lives. 

The Natural Phenomena Inc(Charitable Trust) is now in its third year and it is growing from strength to strength. Many national & international delegates return each year to bath in the beauty & wonders of learning from nature.

The event is an outdoor in Nature experience for all educators inspired by  the natural world and passionate to explore how nature can be such a powerful teacher.

Located in "The Wild Woods" - an ancient stand of native woodland east of Whangarei, in an area known as Kiripaka. This paradise has been in family ownership since 1898. Surrounded in stoney outcrops, the forested space is pure magic. It invokes inspiration, awe and wonder and reminds us of these key aspects in early childhood.

Open Spaces PreSchool utilise this space as part of their daily programme.
